NOTICE OF ELECTION  

ELECTION OF PARISH COUNCILLOR for COTTINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL, COTTINGHAM CROXBY WARD

  1. An election is to be held for ONE PARISH COUNCILLOR for the
    COTTINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL COTTINGHAM CROXBY WARD
  1. Nomination papers may be obtained from ELECTORAL SERVICES, COUNTY HALL, BEVERLEY, EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE, HU17 9BA. Please call 01482 393300 or e-mail services@eastriding.gov.uk or visit www.eastriding.gov.uk/elections
  1. Nomination papers must be delivered by HAND to Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 9BA on any day after the date of this notice, but not later than 4 PM on the 21 FEBRUARY 2025. Candidates wishing to stand, are asked to contact the Electoral Services Team on 01482 393300 to make arrangements to submit their nomination papers.
  1. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on the
    20 MARCH 2025.
  1. The last date for REGISTRATION of NEW ELECTORS to the area to be effective for this election is MIDNIGHT on the 04 MARCH 2025.
  1. New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at ELECTORAL SERVICES, County Hall, Beverley by 5 PM on the 05 MARCH 2025, if they are to be effective for this election.
  1. New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley by 5 PM on the
    12 MARCH 2025, if they are to be effective for this election.
  1. Applications to vote by emergency proxy on the grounds of a medical emergency or where a person’s occupation, service or employment means they are unable to attend at their polling station (and this could not have been foreseen before the deadline for ordinary proxy applications) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at ELECTORAL SERVICES, County Hall, Beverley by 5 PM on the 20 MARCH 2025 if they are to be effective for this election.
