Events in Cottingham
Many different events take place in Cottingham throughout the year.
If you would like to have your event shown on this page, please send brief details to the Parish Council Office.
The Parish Council has eight Notice Boards sited at strategic locations around the Village on which posters are displayed giving details of events which are being held as well as information about clubs, societies and groups which operate within the Village.
These Display Boards can be found at: Market Green; Outside the Co-op: West Green, Eppleworth Road; Green Lane (near the Castle Green shops); The Parkway (near the bus shelter); Station Road and the junction of Bricknell Avenue/Hull Road.
The Boards are updated on a weekly basis.
Cottingham Day
Each year Cottingham Parish Council, along with dedicated volunteers organises an annual fun day in Cottingham. This comprises of a parade, stalls, fun fairs, food, rides, dog shows and lots more.
Christmas Lights
From late November to early January, the Cottingham Christmas Lights are a spectacular sight. Installed by volunteers of Cottingham, they attract visitors from all over the country. Each year the Parish Council provides a large grant to the lights team.
Cottingham Springboard Festival
The Cottingham Springboard Festival is held annually at the end of May each year. It features live music in many of the pubs in the village. For more information see their website www.springboardfestival.org
Cottingham Food & Drink Festival
The Food and Drink Festival has become a mainstay of the Cottingham events scene will stalls and cooking demonstrations to suit all tastes. Further information can be obtained from cottinghamfoodfest@outlook.com
Cottingham Open Gardens
