Christmas Festival Competition
Cottingham Day & Christmas Festival
After taking a break for City of Culture year in 2017, Cottingham Day returned in 2018 and 2019 with glorious sunshine both years.
In 2017 we launched the Cottingham Christmas Festival, as the Parish Council felt the village was missing out on a Christmas event now the lights switch on no longer occurs. Whilst small in scale in 2017 it expanded in 2018 and 2019 to include a tipi, reindeer, and an ice rink, as well as the Christmas Market and other entertainment.
Unfortunately, both events were cancelled in 2020 due to Covid with Cottingham Day also not going ahead in 2021. Thankfully, the Christmas Festival for 2021 will be going ahead so watch this space
