HISTORIC COTTINGHAM WALK A short circular trail around the historic centre of Cottingham is available in a free leaflet (published by the Cottingham Local History Society) and can be obtained from the Parish Council Office and in several shops in the Village. KING GEORGE V & MILL BECK SCULPTURE TRAIL The Wildlife Trusts (Yorkshire) have prepared a leaflet about this trail. Six sculptures, representing an animal you may see in the area where the sculpture has been installed, have been placed along the trail around the King George V Playing Fields and the Mill Beck Wildlife Area. Copies of the leaflet are available from the Parish Council Office along with another leaflet "Naturalist's Quiz" PUBLIC FOOTPATHS AND RIGHTS OF WAY With almost 1,000 miles (over 1500 km) of public rights of way in the East Riding this complex web of footpaths, bridleways and byways is available for public enjoyment. It offers the most significant opportunity for relaxation and makes a major contribution to health and welfare through healthy recreation and exercise.
