Cottingham Churches Together is a body unifying the six Christian churches in Cottingham. They exist to promote joint worship, witness and mission into our community.

They meet together quarterly to plan activities together, monthly at the Manna coffee shop in the village to pray for our community and to share worship quarterly on fifth Sundays.

In addition, with volunteers across the churches, they undertake various formsof social and community action in association with the Parish Council, neighbourhood action team and East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

The six churches are:

  • St. Mary's C of E Church

  • Cottingham Methodist Church

  • Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church

  • Cottingham Community Church

  • Zion United Reformed Church and

  • Christchurch

The St. Mary's Church Flower Festival, with the theme "Floral Virtues - Life in Cottingham, 1914 - 18" was held from Friday 2 May to Monday 5 May 2014.   The floral displays were arranged by the East Riding Flower Club, with an additional arrangement in the Lady Chapel by Orange Blossom and themed exhibits by pupils from Bacon Garth, Croxby and Westfield Schools.  

More than 1,200 people visited the Festival during the four days and a selection of photographs of some of the exhibits is shown below (click on a photo to enlarge).
